Biography
Brian gained his first exposure to aviation through the Civil Air Patrol and took his first general aviation flight at an EAA Young Eagles event. He soloed in a glider and single-engine aircraft at age 15, before majoring in Aviation at the University of Illinois-Champaign Urbana. After a 14-yr diversion into the business world, Brian rejoined his pursuit of a career in aviation.
In 2013, he purchased the Atlantic Flyer News, a 30-yr old general aviation publication and a 1969 Bonanza V35A which he uses for business trips and family vacations . After witnessing the decline and lack of outreach to young-adult aviators, he decided to found MODAERO. He currently resides at his airpark home at Naper Aero Club (LL10) with his wife and their three budding co-pilots.
If we don’t focus on growing Aviation through innovation, collaboration and inclusion – there won’t be a future.
